The work was continued in the second half of the fifteenth century, concluding the building. In 1755 J. Gabriel Gonzalez adds to the play a baroque boudoir where is the patron saint of Aracena, Our Lady of Mayor Dolor. The church was burnt down in 1936 but was later restored.
