Region
In the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche have survived several mountain costumes, wich have come into use until our days are Almonaster la Real and the Encinasola. And its use is linked to parties in these localities. Mountain costumes are austere, sober, full of charm, taste, are an example of what this region, a border territory, but not rupture, a permeable area. That is why the suits have a clear mountain Castilian influence, we must not forget that during the Middle Ages this region was repopulated by people from that territory.
The mountain of clothes Almonaster la Real is the clothing worn by the women during the celebration of Las Cruces. It consists of low-heeled black shoes with a red tassel of wool stockings blade crafted by women of Almonaster, white petticoat, skirt and apron list of black velvet trimmed at the edges, black blouse with embroidered cuffs, dress differentiate the mountain of each guild in the shape of the neck of the Monilla, one peak and one with embroidery, on which are placed shawls art. The highland wear their hair tied with a ribbon color and a shelter, scarf to cover her head when entering the church. At the Museum of Popular Arts of Sevilla out a suit mountain in the area as described. There are several variant of it, but all within the Almonaster la Real.
Sierra's costume is even more austere Encinasola. The suit is made up of low-heeled shoes black, white 
wool socks, long skirt, which does not cover the feet but it is long. the skirt is dark wool and adorned with a horizontal black strip about twenty cemtímetros the bottom of the skirt, upon which is a black apron with some fantasy, black and red at the edges. The body is covered with an embroidered bodice. On the head and covering almost the entire body is placed scarf dark brown or burgundy going topped with a black ribbon around the edges.
